Tried these three w/ Steve last night:
1. Foradori Fontansante ManzoniBianco IGT: Vigneti della Dolomiti (12%) 2015: Pale yellow/golden color; very strong resiny/ViniMacerati/phenolic piney rather earthy little fruit bit toasty rather complex nose; fairly tart some earthy quite tannic very phenolic/resiny/VM austere little fruit some graham cracker rather complex flavor w/ some tannic bite; vety long/lingering quite phenolic/VM/resiny bit graham cracker/honeyed finish w/ ample tannic bite; loads of VM character & rather tannic & a paucity of fruit; badly needs 4-10 yrs of age.

2. Foradori Morei Teroldego IGT: Vigneti della Dolomiti (12.5%) 2015: Very dark/near black color; beautiful very black pepper/blackberry/licorice/Tero/bit chocolaty light toasty/smokey/oak some graphite/mineral very complex beautiful aromatic nose; quite tart/tangy intense black pepper/licorice/Tero/blackberry rather graphite/mineral very structured rather tannic flavor w/ ample hard tannins; very long/lingering intense black peppery/licorice/Tero/spicy light smokey/oak structured bit rustic finish w/ ample hard tannins; needs another 6-10 yrs; a beautiful expression of Teroldego.

Foradori Sgarzon Teroldego IGT: Vigneti della Dolomiti (12.5%) 2015: Bit lighter slight bricking color; slightly lighter intense black pepper/blackberry/licorice/Tero very spicy slight herbal light toasty/oak some graphite/mineral quite aromatic complex nose; quite structured intense black pepper/blackberry/Tero bit more smooth/balanced slight herbal light toasty/oak rather complex flavor w/ ample bit hard tannins; very long/lingering intense black pepper/blackberry/licorice/Tero slight herbal light toasty/oak rather structured finish w/ ample hard tannins; needs 3-8 yrs; a bit more polished/balanced and a bit lit rustic in character; almost like an intense Loire CabFranc; a beautiful Teroldego.

1. There is no doubt that ElisabettaForadori is the master of Teroldego. Her basic Teroldego is a must buy every yr. I tend to prefer these two vnyd-designate Teroldego to her high-end Granato Teroldego. They are all very age-worthy.
SteveCostigan was interested in trying these three '15 Foradoris, so the two of us sat down and worked our way thru them.
