WTN: Benjamin Leroux Saint-Romain Sous Le Chateau 2018

Lockdown Wine #98. Pale yellow/green. Nice floral, but fleeting, bouquet. Crisp, lemon/lime, green apple, mineral, and nut skins. There seems to be the faintest suggestion of oak, but I'm not sure. Dry and refreshing. Nice to see a moderate alcohol level of 12.5%. Decent length. I don't usually drink at lunch but was curious to try this, and surprised myself by drinking half the bottle. Went well with a moderately spicy crab salad. Not really one for aging, Lovely wine for summer.

Very nice note. we seldom see St Romain in my area, occasionally Boillot. l. I tend to forget that it's actually Cote d’Or, assuming it's Chalonnaise or Macon. Nice find
