Drank one of these way back at release, when it was all fruit. Now, after a couple of hours of air, the savory is coming into focus. The fruit is still there, and the structure is also more apparent, but there’s an earthy/leathery element that is emerging. There’s also a fleeting note of fresh cut Christmas tree. I picked it up twice, so I know it’s there, but I have no idea why. I still have two more bottles, and I think another year or two might get the job done, but I am not at all certain.

Got that 2016, planned for 2022. Also have the 2015 San Benito County, Enz vineyard, planned for 2023. But plans can change....
