I have not scored a wine in 15 years! Scores overall mean little to me, I stick with my fave producers and move on from there.

As I wrote in an earlier thread, I am guilty of posting scores on CT as my drop in the ocean in favour of elegant wines and against oaky blockbusters like Bodegas Borsao Tres Picos, which most of the CT contributors score highly. When it comes to critics, I am not interested in their scores but do pay heed to their TNs if these are clear enough for me to get an impression whether I will like the wine. High scores from Parker himself are usually a turn-off for me, though I think he is less unreliable for my palate in left-bank Bordeaux than in any other region, including right-bank.

And of course Parker is now retired, so there is no longer any grist for that mill.

And I consider Michael Broadbent a critic whom I trust, in spite of his being deceased.
