Lockdown Wine #96. Torbreck's Cote-Rotie style wine. This one is 92% Shiraz and 8% Viognier.

Still very youthful-looking, opaque, but with the slightest hint of red/violet at the edge. Fragrant wood, tobacco leaf, dried herb, sweet spices, ripe black fruit. Quite attractive nose. Rich, sweet, blueberry, plum, fig; plus the spices and wood. Sweet, soft tannins, but with good acidity for structure. Rather hefty. Good length.

I think this still has a bit of room to improve, but very, very close to peak. Very good.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
