2010 Château d'Arsac Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend
Mean and green on first opening, set aside. Two days later, severe all-black fruit with an underlying chalkiness. Unfriendly. There's no Margaux in this Margaux. Crap, I have five more bottles of this. Can't understand why I bought it, no idea what possessed me. I really didn't buy '10s, mostly just a few onesies; the only other '10 I bought multiple bottles of was Chateau Talbot which unlike this I did pre-taste and like (especially for $39/ea).

Sorry about that. Arsac is unusual as it makes both a Margaux AC and a Haut-Medoc. I don't think I've ever had the Margaux, which is weird because I think it's a large property.

Yes it is, relatively speaking. 54 acres, or something like that.

So it appears I was wrong, they no longer market the H-M a Ch. d'Arsac. Now it is sold as Le Monteil d'Arsac. Probably smart, having a cheap Haut-Medoc with same name would cause brand confusion. But the 1996 (last I had) was D'Arsac (Haut-Medoc).
