Lockdown Wine #93. Popped and poured. Opaque, youthful, purple rim. Ripe black fruit. A little meaty, peppery. Some oaky vanilla coming through as well, but not really bothersome. Ripe and sweet, with the meat and pepper as well. Some spicy woody notes. Very pronounced milk chocolate. Put together very nicely. Very soft. Impressive length. A touch over medium-bodied. The milk chocolate note lingers quite a bit. Still, the meaty, savory notes tame the sweetness and make it rather good with tonight's beef stroganoff. Probably close to peak, but will likely stay there for some time. Excellent.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
