At our local wine shop's Friday evening freebie tasting, they featured four Australian wines imported by Epicurean Wines in Seattle. I found a very appealing white wine at this gathering last night.
2006 The Black Chook VMR, South Australia, 14% ABV, $17: Nicely fragrant. Clean mouthfeel with an interesting blend of flavors. Crisp and acidic, and altogether refreshing. A blend of Viognier (68%), Marsanne (16%) and Roussane (16%). Drink now.
