Nice Riesling from BC Cedar Creek

by Bob Parsons Alberta » Wed Apr 14, 2021 9:56 am

2013 Cedar Creek Platinum Riesling Block 3,

Cellared for 4yrs, SC, $29 Cda, 8.8% alc.

Lightish lemon color, appealing indeed, no sign of age.
Pear and green apples on the nose, no petrol! Aromatics flow out of the glass, even on day 2. Mineral tones here.."nice melon and apricot" from across the table.
Initial thought is quite dry, very well balanced. Citrus finish with great smooth length. Apple, wet stones, just a tinge of sugar. The acidity here is spot on, great buy from a mega store on the south side. Buy again when in area.

Hi Bob, I don't think Cave Spring make a 'Platinum Block 3' riesling. This is a Cedar Creek riesling from BC perhaps?
