Digging deeper into my new Carlisle arrivals:
1. Carlisle Compagni-Portis WW SonomaVlly/SonomaCnty (13.2%; Plntd: 1954; GWT/TrousseauGris/Riesling; 75 cs) 2019: Pale yellow color; very frgrant floral/gardenias/lychee/subtle GWT some mineral/chalky bit spicy/alpine flowers lovely nose; fairly tart rather rich/textured quite floral/gardenias/lychee/bit GWT some chalky/stony/mineral lovely flavor; very long lightly tart floral/alpine flowers/gardenias/lychee/GWT fairly rich bit old-timey white some stony/chalky/perfumed talc finish; quite a lovely floral/aromatic white that speaks mostly of subtle/lo-key GWT but not hair-oil/in-your-face GWT; reminds some of an AltoAdige GWT, some of a Val d'Aosta Traminer Aromatica; sure to put on weight & improve over the next 2-6 yrs; very fairly priced at $25.00

1. Compagni-Portis: Always one of my favorites of Mike's whites. It's a wine that typically puts on weight w/ a few yrs and really hits its stride at 3-5 yrs. Fully expect this to do the same.
