Tried this eldery Chard this weekend:
1. Brewer-Clifton Chard St.RitaHills (14.0%; www.BrewerClifton.com) Lompoc 2015: Med.dark gold color; strong nutty/toasted almonds bit melony/mature Chard nutmeg/toasty/Fr.oak slight wet wool/wet Army blabket rather complex very interesting nose; fairly tart rather rich/lush nutty/toasted almonds/bit oxidative some Fr.oak/toasty/nutmeg rather melony/toasted oatmeal/Chard rather complex mature Chard flavor; very long/lingering rather nutty/toasted almonds/bit oxidative ripe/melony/Chard/bit lemony/celery seed some toasty/Fr.oak complex finish; a fully mature ripe Chard that shows a bit of oxidative character; drink up. $20.00 (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This Chard showed up at Kokomans this weekend. Obviously being cleared out by the distributor. Normally retails for about $30. Clearly on the downside but still offers up lots of pleasure.

Went to a wine dinner in which Brewer-Clifton PN was poured. The event was overall for Merry Edwards, others featured were Brewer-Clifton, Fiddlestix, Hartford Court. Was not impressed with most of the wines served but may have been biased. Pours were very skimpy as were the food portions. QPR not.

So wondering if any thoughts on the above vintners PN or Chard that may show better at home. No Merry Edwards, though. Not interested.
