WTN: Clos de Betz

2013 Betz Winery, Clos de Betz; purple to edge with eucalyptus and sour cherry notes on nose, the palate was full of sweet and sour cherry fruit with mostly resolved tannins. I was slightly underwhelmed by this wine as I thought 7.5 years would show more secondary development. My last Wa. wine except maybe a lost Sorella. abv of 14.3

I have found the Betz wines very slow to develop. I bought a bunch for several years, and am now just going to sit on them.

What David said. I was just in my cellar eyeing a '10--actually picked it up and held it. Then changed my mind remembering my '03s. I had six of them and only the last two around 2015 really showed everything possible, I just didn't realize how slow they are.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
