2019 Bedrock Wine Co. Syrah - USA, California, North Coast (3/23/2021)
This is just so darned Bedrock. Incredible value for the $20 or so price tag. Rich, silky, full of fruit and some framing tannin, this sits at the same table with the OVZ and Ode to Lulu for bringing tons of flavor at a bargain price. Why didn’t I order 2 cases of this? Oh, because of all the other stuff I bought![

The Bedrock Syrah, along with Ode to Lulu are annual favorites of mine..haven't bought the zin in a while as , for my palate, it seems to take 3-5 yrs before showing its best stuff...At my age, not buying wines that need that much cellaring

Do appreciate the continued votes of thumbs up, David. Didn't buy recent releases. Cheers!

Sipping on another bottle of this incredible value wine. Not sure I will be able to keep my hands off of a few bottles to see what they do with a little cellar time. I think there's a core of savory flavors buried under the primary fruit.

Always appreciate your votes of confidence, David. Got 2018 Syrah, 2018 & 2019 Zinfandel. Somehow I think those will be wise purchases.

Whether or not I have any business buying wine...hey, it's within budget.
