WTN: Gunderloch Nackenheim Rothenberg Auslese 2007

Lockdown Wine #86 - Light green/gold. Tropical fruit salad nose. Mango, pineapple, honey, apple, and pear. All a touch overripe. Delicious! All those fruits and more. Peaches, canned peach syrup, sweet pomelo, grapes. Again, everything just a little overripe. Sweet spice. Cinnamon etc. Rich, filling, a little goes a long way, and yet, it's hard not to take another sip. Beautifully balanced. Acidity is there but doesn't stick out. Seamless. Tremendous length. Probably a young adolescent. This has decades of life ahead of it. The screwcap probably helps. Superlative stuff!
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.

Sounds great. 2007 can show soft, but some wines are better balanced. This sounds like one of the well balanced ones.
