4. Bedrock Carignan SonomaCnty (Oldest vines: 1888; 14.5%) 2019: Dark color; strong black cherry/cherry/Carignan quite dusty/OV modest toasty/oak rather earthy/rustic some complex nose; lightly tart strong cherry/black cherry/Carignan quite dusty/OV rather earthy/rustic/bit coarse light toasty/oak flavor w/ light rough/coarse tannins; very long strong black cherry/Carignan/cherry rather earthy/rustic finish w/ light coarse tannins; not nearly in the league of the recent Ridge Buchagnani Carignans; would like more vibrant/high-tone fruit but guess you can't make a silk-purse outta sow's ear; a fairly classic rough/coarse Carignan. $32.00

A wee BloodyPUlpit:
1. I'm really liking the SauvBlancs that Morgan makes. They are on the ripe/melony side & not particularly herbal; as good as any being made in Calif these days. Not particularly profound, they are just really good drinking. The Staves of Waidhofen are my favorite of Morgan's tableau.
The CabSauv & Carignan were my least favorite of this foursome. Well-made, but nothing I'd probably buy again. I'm just not much of a fan of those two varietals.
But another solid/stellar release from Morgan. Will try the Nervo, the Evangelho, and the LimerickLane tonight.

When did you get your shipments? Mine literally arrived yesterday, so letting things settle down a bit.

I rather doubt that David had Sauv Blanc in his 4.5 cases.

No, but I did get some in my prior case. Always willing to try.

Unlikely. So far the only one I really "like" now costs north of $100.
