Tried these new wines fom PrimaIlConsorzia:
1. sidebar Kerner MokelumneRiver MokGlenVnyds/Lodi (Riesling X Trollinger; Only Calif planting; www.SidebarCellars.com; 14.1%) DaveRamey/sidebar Cllrs/Heladsburg 2019: Light golden color w/ tiny bubbles; quite fragrant/perfumed/floral/mango very Germanic lovely nose; fairly tart/tang slight prickle/dissolved CO2 totally dry; slightly rich/lush very Germanic/floral/mango bit spicy slight mineral flavor; very long/lingering fairly tart very Germanic/floral/mango/carnations slight dissolved CO2 slight chalky finish; hard to believe that Lodi can produce a wine this Germanic in character; a beautiful expression of Kerner at a great price. $25.00 (PrimaIlC)

2. sidebar Zin OldVine RRV (plntd: 1890 & 1950; AlegriaVnyd;U; 79% Zinfandel/11% Alicante/8% Petite Sirah/2% 12 other varieties 14.5%) 2017: Med.dark color; strong blackberry/Zin/very spicy quite peppery rather dusty/OV light pencilly/toasty/oak very perfumed nose; lightly tart strong blackberry/Zin/peppery/bit boysenberry fairly dusty/OV light pencilly/oak flavor w/ modest brisk tannins; very long/lingering strong blackberry/Zin/very spicy/quite peppery fairly dusty/OV bit complex finish w/ some brisk tannins; very much in the style of Scherrer or Dehlinger but not as structgured or bright; reminds a bit of the old DeLoach Zins back when Cecil made them w/ a passion; quite a lovely Zin at a very fair price. $28.00 (PrimaIlC)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. The sidebar wines are a second label of Ramey Wine Cllrs, to do some fun things. These were the first time for me to try them. JohnRittmaster at Prima had these two in his last IlConsorzio shipment, rare to have two wines from the same producer. I was pretty impressed by these two.
