Delved deeper into my recent Solminer shipment:
1. Solminer Dry Riesling CoquelicotVnyd/LosOlivosDist (12.6%; www.Solminer.com; 144 cs) 2019: Pale yellow/near colorless w/ lots of tiny/swirling bubbles; attractive fragrant R/floral/pineapple/mango light chalky/stony nose; fairly tart/tangy light R/floral/mango light bodied but not vapid light chalky/stony flavor; med.long light R/floral/pineapple/mango lisht chalky fiish; lots of tiny bubbles & bit of dissolved CO2 on the palate; a pretty enough R but just that. $34.00

1. Solminer is the operation of David&Anna DeLaski, focusing on Austrian-style wines. I generally like their wines as pretty/nice-drinking wines. Yet I'm often left, as I am w/ this R, of just wanting a bit more intensity & oomph & extract. Particularly their dry Whites. The Syrahs are much the same story. OTOH, I like their BlauFrankisch & St.Laurents just fine, as those are not usually very intense.
