1987 R. López de Heredia Rioja Gran Reserva Viña Tondonia - Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja (2/13/2021)Unfortunately this has become plain, old, red wine. It’s tasty enough in a generic sense, but mostly old leather, old wood, dried flowers and herbs with no lift, no life. Sad, but it happens.

I've always found a great deal of variation in all LdH wines, especially the whites. It stinks even more with a gran reserva...

More recent (post-2000) reservas have been better IMO.
