2018 Domaine Grégoire Hoppenot Fleurie Origines Gamay
From magnum. Initial hint of SO2 plus green notes possibly TCA urgently suggested decanting to assure viability, and indeed, both blew off after 2-3 hours. Still, less cheerful than Bojo in general and less lush than usual Fleurie in particular, all of which would have been a disappointment but for happenstance of the overt pepper character pairing especially well with the chile-flavors of the mostly-Mexican Gameday spread.

Perhaps indeed slight TCA making is less cheerful?

David, entirely possible and perhaps likely as though the TCA-ness wore off, other typical aromas didn't come forth as should have been the case with a healthy bottle. Would have to taste another bottle to know.
