2017 Blue Mountain Pinot Noir Gravel Force Block 14 Okanagan Valley
This is THE most to-die-for young domestic pinot noir I've had in a long time. The nose is ethereal. And no longer 'delicate' as others described it early last year, it offers medium-plus body with layers of dark red fruit and mineral complexity. The finish is perfection. Thank you, Bill!!!

Sounds lovely. I do wish I could access wines from BC with some minor to moderate degree of effort.

It IS lovely. It's just everything we want in pinot noir and so rarely get all in one package.

I would be curious for your take on Goodfellow. It might be too ethereal for you. Not sure.

Mmmm...I don't think too ethereal is possible. I enjoy many different styles, just no high alcohol and no watermelon candy.

David, speaking of Goodfellow, I just learned that a struggling local distrib is closing out these wines:

2017 Temperance Hill
2018 Whispering Ridge Longacre
2018 Whispering Ridge House Block

My price will be $25ish. Comments?

I'm sure none will be dogs, John. I put in an order for 1 ea. What stalled my thinking was not actually understanding the diff between the 17 and 18 vintages. I don't want any more like '15, say.

I haven’t been able to visit, so haven’t had many 2018s yet, but I have heard it is riper than the 2017s as a general rule. But Goodfellow tend not to be big ripe wines, so I don’t think it will be an issue.
