With flame-grilled pork shoulder steak marinated in soy sauce/maple syrup/vinegar, ground kumquats and red chiles:

2015 Carlisle Zinfandel Papera Ranch Russian River Valley
Joy in a bottle. Not decanted. Tannins initially had a good grip but loosened up over two hours. More black fruit than red initially but that evened out too. Fantastic nose of boysenberry, black cherry, tobacco, juniper berry and clove. Full bodied in a claret style. Why oh why don't we drink more zinfandel?
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

I am fully back "into" Zinfandel and "mixed blacks" wines. Just too much fun.
