Tried these three over the last few days:
1. LaStoppa Ageno IGT: Emilia Bianco (13.5%; http://www.LaStoppa.It; 90% Malvasia di Candia Aromatica + Ortrugo/Trebbiano; LouisDressnerImprts; 4 mo. maceration on skins in SS/cement tanks; No filteration or sulphites added) Rivergaro/Emilia-Romagna 2017: Deep ruby/rather light brown some murky color; light Malvasia/floral/orangey rather natty/hantavirus/mousey/stale mouse poop slight phenolic/skin-contact/ViniMacerati bit volatile slight oxidative/wet compost pile bit Kansas outhouse nose; quite tart/tangy/fairly sour rather phenolic/VM/resiny/cidery quite natty/mousey/hantavirus/funky slight Malvasia/floral flavor w/ some bitterness; long lightly tart/tangy/quite sour light Malvasia/orangey/floral strong hantavirus/natty/mousey/unclean some phenolic/VM/bitter/wet dog fur finish; a classic natural white in all its ugly glories; way too mousey/natty to my tastes; the worst of the LaStoppa wines; way overpriced at $45.50 (KK)

2. LaStoppa Camporomano IGT: Emilia Barbera (100% Barbera from 15 & 40 yr old vines; 15.5%; Louis/DressnerSlctns; L16616) 2011: Dark color; somewhat tired/oxidized slight Barbera/spicy some natty/hantavirus/mousey slight pencilly/oak bit fecal rather unattractive nose; rather tart/tangy/quite sour rather natty/unclean/hantavirus/mousey/bit fecal slight Barbera/spicy rather tired/some oxidized flavor w/ some bitey tannins; long quite sour rather tart rather natty/hantavirus/mousey/unclean some oxidized/tired finish; rather unclean & a real witch's brew of bacterial activity; pretty much undrinkable; way overpriced at $36.50 (KK)

3. LaStoppa Vigna del Volta Vino Bianco Passito Triple "A" (13%; Malvasia di Candia from 20 yr old vines; Louis/DressnerSlctns; L2811) LaStoppa di Elena Pantaleoni/Rivergaro/Emilia-Romagna NV: Slight ruby red some browning rather murky bit strange color; intense grapey/passito/cranberry bit raisened/pruney slight natty/hantavirus some earthy/dusty bit oxidative some complex nose; soft bit tangy/metallic lightly oxidative some grapey/raisened/pruney/passito/cranberry slight natty/funky somewhat sweet (8%-10% r.s.?) flavor w/ slight tannic bite; long bit cranberry/passito/raisened/pruney lightly oxidative bit natty/hantavirus finish w/ slight bitterness; rather on the raisened/pruney side & not much fruit but the natty/hantavirus character a bit more subdued; tastes older than it probably is; the least unpleasant of a pretty dodgey three; way overpriced at $46.50/500 ml (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. LaStoppa is a natural wine producer in Emilia-Romagana, Lambrusco country. They just showed up at Kokomans last week and, despite my apprehensions of them being natural, thought I'd give them a try; since they were rather expensive for an unknown producer and surely if they were that expensive, they wouldn't be that bad. How wrong I was. I will not be revisiting LaStoppa wines ever again.
