WTN: 2017 Trimbach Pinot Gris Reserve

by Paul Winalski » Mon Jan 25, 2021 12:02 pm

Bought at deep discount in the clearance bins at the New Hampshire state liquor store. I thought one couldn't go wrong at that price. I was wrong. Premoxed. I suspect bad storage or shipment conditions.

OK. There have historically been some issues with a certain northeast distributor that was not taking care of the wines.

For what it's worth, I checked the label and the importer was Esprit du Vin out of Boca Raton, Florida. If it was shipped to Florida and thence to New Hampshire, there's plenty of opportunity for the wine to have been cooked.

I was shopping at the NH State Liquor Store yesterday and I asked who their distributor is for Trimbach. It's Martignetti.
