Some Wineries Get It....Chap 39

by TomHill » Mon Jan 18, 2021 6:01 pm

Had a Karl Haidle Pfeffer Riesling from Wurttemberg that I really liked in late Dec. Sent the winemaker, Moritz Haidle, my (definitive, of course) TN and a few comments via their WebSite generic contact. Not really expecting to get a reply, though.
So yesterday, I received a very nice & detailed e-mail response from Moritz about the wines he's making. His wines fall into the "natural" camp, but you couldn't tell from tasting it that it's "natural". He also makes a few skin-contact whites that I'd love to try but doubt SchatziImprts will bother to import.
Anyway, to continue my rant on the importance of making a connection with a customer, Moritz has made a customer for life & I'm trying to track down more of his wines to try. You should try his wines if you see them. Wurttemberg wines are rather rare.
Now if I can only get him to send me stuff!!
