WTN: I’ve seen the Leitz go out on Broadway

2002 Weingut Josef Leitz Rüdesheimer Kirchenpfad Riesling Beerenauslese - Germany, Rheingau (1/3/2021)
Hand-carried from the estate after our visit in October 2003, and cellared at 55 degrees since that time, this was in perfect condition. Light yellow color, slightly viscous texture, it poured like liquid silk. The silkiness extended to the palate, pouring out peach, pineapple, brown sugar and spice. Then the finish kicked in, and was as if time stood still. The flavor refused to fade. I waited a few minutes, and could still taste the wine. Monumental.
