2011 Cowan Cellars Syrah Moaveni Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Bennett Valley (12/27/2020)
There was a time when Jim Cowan made wine. In my opinion, Syrah was the best he made. Drinking this wine tonight reaffirms my opinion, as the seamless combination of fruit, spice and smoke glides across the palate, and then lingers, like a memory of friends. Well done Jim.

Sounds good. I don't think I ever tasted his wines. Maybe a few of the early vintages, but not once he hit his stride.
