2016 Clos de Gat Merlot Har'El Judean Hills
Well our October bottle's weird hard blue fruit was apparently an aberration, as last night's bottle was not only back to the red fruit of previous bottles, it was the best bottle yet. Really SINGING right now, in a perfect place with a bit of dust and mint among the stylish red fruits and a long finish of a right bank Bordeaux. A really splendid example of why Miles was wrong about merlot. Drinks well above the $21 price I paid.

2007 Domaine du Pégau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée Red Rhone Blend
Fully mature with that divine Pegau barnyard that a previous Cellar Track reviewer called "pussy funk." Left me speechless. Anyway, sublime.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
