Tried these two w/ Susan last night:
1. LaSpinetta Timorasso Dd'OC: Colli Tortonesi Piccolo Derthona (13%; www.La-Spinetta.com; 25 yr old vines) LaSpinetta/Castagnole Lanze 2019: Med.gold color; strong floral/carnations/melony/spicy/bit Chard-like slight steely/mineral fairly attractive Timo nose; fairly tart/bit metallic/tangy rather stony/mineral somewhat austere/lean/eviscerated quite dry slight melony/Timo flavor; long very tart/acidic/austere/lean fairly stony/mineral slight melony/appley/Timo finish; pleasant enough Timo nose but lean/eviscerated/austere on the palate; lacks the richness & spicy of good Timos; may put on weight w/ some age, but a gamble; disappointing for a Derthona Timo. $26.50 (KK)

2. Sieman Occhio al Bianco IGT: Colli Berici/Veneto (12%; Garganega/Tai Bianco/Incrocio Manzoni; 3 days skin-contact; Critical Mass Slctns/T.ElentenyImprts; www.Sieman.It; 6200 btls) Daniele Andrea MarcoFilippini/Villaga 2018: Deep golden bit browning color; light ViniMacerati/phenolic/resiny very slight orangey/grapey some natty/mousey/hantavirus bit earthy nose; very tart/tangy/austere some phenolic/VM/tannic some natty/hantavirus lean/eviscerated quite dry/austere no fruit flavor w/ some tannins; short some VM/phenolic fairly natty/hantavirus/mousey no fruit finish w/ some tannins; the skin-contact gives it some interesting character but way too natty/hantavirus for my tastes. $23.00 (AV)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. LaSpinetta: This is their first vintage of Timorasso. I generally like the LaSpinetta wines. This Timo not so much. It's how Duncan & Nathan would make Timo in Derthona if they could.

2. Sieman: This is a natural wine producer. The wine certainly tastes of it. T.Elenteny is an importer that specializes in natural wines. I've far too many misses than hits from them. Be cautious when you buy their wine. Or run in the other direction.
