Tried this last night:
1. Carlisle Syrah DryCreekVlly (15.8%; 310 cs) SantaRosa 2003: Very dark color w/ some bricking; fairly strong blackberry/Syrah light toasty/oak bit alcoholic/fumey bit simple nose; soft some tangy/metallic some blackberry/Syrah/spicy light toasty/oak bit alcoholic some tired/dried out flavor w/ light drying/astringent tannins; med.long soft some fumey/alcoholic fairly strong blackberry/Syrah bit toasty/oak bit tangy/metallic finish w/ light drying tannins; still plenty of Syrah fruit but the tangy/metallic bit dried out character a wine entering its death spiral.
