2015 Enfield Wine Co. Pinot Noir Antle - USA, California, Central Coast, Chalone (12/7/2020)Savory, savory, savory. Mid-palate brings a wave of umami, and the fruit is a supporting player that veers towards tart berry. I would have a hard time picking this wine as Californian, especially when the tannins kick in on the finish. It’s a Pinot of contemplation and food pairing, rather than a wine that stands out on its own, dominating the stage.
