American Wine for Thanksgiving and leftovers...
Brick fading to crimson then rose. Rim variation consistent with age. A few bubbles on Day 1. Medium plus legs. Very good clarity Day 1; by Day 2, light sediment apparent. Aromas are a mix of black and red fruit dominant: black currant, raspberry, cranberry, cherry. Also noted are prune, light toast. On the palate, red fruits more prominent and black olive, eucalyptus emerge. Medium to full body, medium plus finish, medium minus acidity. Texture is polished, smooth. Impression: varietally correct, balanced, and complex. Very nice now, but 2021 would be fine, too. A solid Thanksgiving choice if I do say so myself.
And, there's plenty left. Moderation, as the alcohol is 16%+.
