Tried these three from Kokomans ystrday:
1. Fran Ehrhard "naturich" Riesling Rheingau (trocken; 12.0%; "Frmtd w/ natural yeast for 18 mo. in old/traditional wooden barrels"; U; Los# 201709; ScopertaImprts/ClevelandHeights/OH; www.ScopertaImports.com) 2017: Med.dark gold color; very quiet almost no nose; very light R/floral/mango slight chalky/earthy pleasant enough if unthrilling nose; totally dry very tart/acidic austere/lean very sloght floral/R/mango rather earthy/chalky quite tangy/metallic/steely almost vapid flavor; short totally dry very tangy/acidic very light R/floral/mango/chalky/steely rather vapid/eviscerated finish; almost no nose or flavor but an abundance of acid; this is how Duncan & Nathan would make R in the Rheingau if they could; hurty to drink. $22.50 (KK)

Via Revolucionaria Torrontes Brutal Passionate Wine (12.5%; BrazosWineImprts) Viticultor: Matias Michelini/Tupungato/Mendoza/Argentina 2019: Med.dark gold color w/ lots of bubbles that dissipate; quite cidery some phenolic/resiny/skin-contact some cheap hair oil/Torrontes some herbal/Kansas hay mow rather strange nose; very tart/tangy/acidic some cidery/VinoMacerati/phenolic slight cheap hair oil/Torrontes rather metallic/tannic flavor w/ some oxidation; med.long very tart/acidic slight Torrontes/hair oil fairly phenolic/VM/quite cidery some bitey/tannic finish w/ slight wet dog fur/oxidation in the aftertaste; a pretty unattractive/hurty VM. $21.50 (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Ehrhard: This is the first "natural" wine from Germany I've seen or tried. I presume it was not a QmP wine because it was so atypical of Rheingau. Pretty unattractive/vapid stuff.

2. Batted 0-3 on these natural wines. It seems to me that they are much more successful w/ Natural wines in Calif than in Europe.
