Tried these last night:
1. Ryme Fiano RRV (12.2%) 2019: Med.light gold color; lightly floral/Fiano some mineral/chalky slight earthy/rustic fairly fragrant attractive nose; bit soft fairly rich/textured slight tangy/metallic light floral/Fiano slight stony/mineral rather quiet flavor; long soft light floral/Fiano light chalky/stony finish; a somewhat strange wine, fairly rich/textured/some heavy-bodied but not a whole lot of flavor; seems just sorta dumb right now. $28.00
___________
2. Bedrock EvangelhoVnyd Heritage ContraCostaCnty RW (Own-rooted planted in the 1890's; 14.5%) 2019: Med.dark color; very strong classic ContraCosta/earthy/mushroomy strong ripe/blackberry/boysenberry light pencilly/oak strong dusty/OV rather fragrant bit complex lovely CC nose; some tart/tangy fairly rich/lush CC/mushroomy/earthy rather dusty/OV light toasty/oak strong plummy/blackberry/Zin/Mataro flavor w/ light lush/ripe tannins; very long lush/ripe classic CC/earthy/mushroomy/plummy/Zin/Mataro light toasty/oak finish w/ modest ripe tannins; a very attractive classiz CC Zin that's good now but should improve some w/ age; another Bedrock QPR champ. $30.00
___________
3. Carlisle Syrah RadiantRidgeVnyd/BennettVlly/SonomaCnty (14.9%; 380 cs) 2018: Med dark/very dark color; beautiful blackberry/boysenberry/Syrah/ripe rather c-c/black pepper light toasty/Fr.oak very spicy classic BV/Syrah complex nose; fairly tart/tangy very strong blackberry/spicy Syrah some black pepper light toasty/oak beautiful flavor w/ light bit tangy tannins; very long/lingering very strong blackberry/Syrah/very spicy some c-c/black pepper finish w/ some chewey tannins; rather structured and needs 3-6 yrs of age; a beautiful example of a c-c Syrah at a great price. $31.50

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Fiano: This was a rather strange wine that may just be in a dumb stage. It was pretty rich/lush/textured but just didn't have much flavor. Not vapid/eviscerated...but the flavor was just not there. I suspect that it needs a yr or two & will put on weight & develop more aromatics & flavor.

Evangelho is consistently my favorite Bedrock. 2019 will get opened soon.
