Tried this last night w/ Roman & Susan & May:
1. Bodegas Gratius blanco multivarital (12%; www.BodegasGratius.com; 60-70 yr old vnyds; Tardana + Macabeo/Marisanche/Dona blanca/albillo/blanquilla; Critical Mass Slctns/T.ElentenyImports/NY; vino de CrowdFunding) Casas Ibanez/Manchuela/Valencia/Espana 2019: Med.gold bit cloudy color; lightly fragrant/floral/grapey light chalky/earthy slight herbal/hantavirus bit Albarino-like pleasant enough if a bit rustic nose; bit soft fairly earthy/bit herbal vaguely grapey bit rustic/funky/coarse very light floral bit simple flavor; med.short earthy bit metallic/tangy vaguely grapey/floral/herbal slight funky/hantavirus rather coarse/rustic finish; fairly clean for a natural wine but just vaguely grapey & rather coarse and not very interesting. $21.00 (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. New producer to me. They make "natural" wines. The T.Elenteny importer should have made me flee in the other direction, but I'm a stubborn ole curmudgeon, so I bit. I've done far worse w/ natural wines. This producer specializes in making wines from obscure/indegenous grapes of the region. This was just not very interesting, despite the varietal makeup. No evidence that Tardana should be planted all up&down the coast of Calif; based on this data point of one.
