WTN: Chateau La Lagune 2006

Lockdown Wine # 69. Still pretty dark and youthful looking. Attractive nose. Roast meat, savory spices, pepper, a little bit of wood, and ripe dark berries. Medium-ish weight. Pretty approachable tannins. Good ripeness of fruit, but a general savory aspect to it, although still generally fruit driven. In a very nice place now. Coffee. Good length, with a touch of bitterness on the finish. No need to decant; pop and pour worked for me. Drink with pleasure now, although I'm sure this still has a long life ahead and will likely continue to improve.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.

Great note, thanks. I have this wine, sounds like it's time to open one.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
