2012 Rivers-Marie Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast
I heavily dissed this wine last March but this bottle showed well; in fact much better than it's more expensive single vineyard brothers also sampled in the past month. Plummy dark fruit with a saline lilt. Got a bit tired toward the end of the second glass, though, so drink up.

2009 Domaine Marius Delarche Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Ile des Vergelesses Pinot Noir
Decanted one hour, no sediment. A pleasant bottle slightly tipped more toward acid than fruit, barely medium bodied. Wouldn't hold any longer.

Don’t know that Burgundy producer. Surprised a 2009 would tip towards acid given the broad ripeness of the vintage.

Exactly my reaction--not at all what I've experienced with others.
