Lockdown Wine #64. As expected, quite dark. Lovely, lovely nose. Lots of strawberry and other assorted ripe berries. A very faint earthy/meaty note beneath the fruit. There's some tannin action going on. Juicy and tending to richness. Usually, Beaujolais should be served rather cool, but I like this at normal red wine temp. Flavors reflect what's going on in the nose. Ripe berry, although tending to black rather than red. Plum. Good, but not exceptional, length. The ripe fruit goes right through to the finish. This is a serious Beaujolais cru. Good to drink now, but can age, and will very likely get better and more complex. Very good now, with potential to become excellent.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
