Forbes: Wine Varieties of Friuli

by TomHill » Sun Nov 01, 2020 6:29 pm

A mildly interesting article linked to me by Hoke:
Forbes: Friuli Varieties

The article states that the sweet dessert wines of Ramandola are made from Friuliano, which is locally called Verduzzo Giallo. I had always it was just made from Verduzzo and was different from Friuliano.

The article also states the the wines of the Kras/Carso, because they are in the province of Trieste, are not considered as part of Friuli.

Anyway...nothing profound but interesting to read about one of my favorite areas of Italy.
