WTN: Fantino Rosso dei Dardi '18...(short/boring)

My recent case from Kermit-Lynch arrived w/ some odd stuff, so cracked one I thought might be a good value (rare from K-L):
1. Fantino Rosso dei Dardi VinoRosso (13%; www.Vino-Fantino.com; KermitLynch) Alessandro e Gian Natale Fantino/Monforte d'Alba 2018: Very dark/suspiciously dark for Nebb; very strong tarry/pungent/road tar intense/heavy-weight Nebb bit toasty/oak slight herbal tiny bretty complex nose; very tart/acidic quite tannic/hard strong Nebb/pungent/tarry/road tar rather earthy intense flavor w/ ample hard/rough/chewey tannins; very long very acidic tough/hard/tannic intense tarry/pungent bit earthy finish brutally hard/tannic finish; shows none of the aromatic/floral character of Nebb; an absolute bruiser of a Nebb that needs age, but may never come together into anything pleasant; it's a gamble...but a reasonably-priced gamble. $20.00 (K-L)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Coming from the Bussia area in Monforte d'Alba, I was expecting a lot from this Nebb, even at only $20. The color was suspiciously dark. I was expecting something along the lines of a Langhe. Previous vintages have had Freisa & Dolcetto blended in, but this is 100% Nebb. Strange wine.
