2018 Goodfellow Family Cellars Pinot Noir Lewman Vineyard - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola - Amity Hills (10/21/2020)
Pinot Noir that conveys power without weight is a bit of a holy grail. This wine conveys depth and complexity without weight, which is even more up my alley. Barely medium bodied, very light in color, it’s a wine that appears to be easy. Smell it. Taste it. It’s advanced Physics. The levels of the aroma extend from the ground to the air, dirt and leaf. On the palate the fruit is part of an ensemble, and backed up by tannins that beg for cellar time. It’s a fancy trick to bring this much flavor to something that comes across so ethereal. It’s the warmth and richness of wool but the elegance of silk.[/list]

Sounds utterly fantastic, David, somewhat in the same lane perhaps as Kelley Fox's pinots perhaps? This isn't a producer I've heard from before, but you've captured my interest.

Funny you mention that. I posted the note on WB, and someone mentioned Kelley Fox as being in a similar mode.

My first TN on a Kelley Fox wine:

2013 Kelley Fox Wines Pinot Noir Mirabai Dundee Hills
Brought to my table by Barnaby Tuttle of Teutonic. WOW, what a delightful pinot noir. A mauve-y shade of light red with an ultra balanced, silky, quietly powerful, unfiltered, untampered-with palate presence involving red fruits and spice. Only 12% alcohol. Exceptional. Will purchase!

Jenise: Goodfellow has a wide and diverse portfolio of Pinor Noir and Chardonnay plus an occasional outlier..I think you wd enjoy his wines..I know I do..have tasted at the the winery and consumed a fair number of Goodfellow wines, still have some in the cellar.
