2015 Enfield Wine Co. Syrah Haynes Vineyard - USA, California, Napa Valley, Coombsville (10/12/2020)
A couple of years ago I said this was a “very special Syrah.” I underestimated it. A year since my last bottle, this is firmly in a fantastic, youthful zone, but with tons of Positive development in its future. It’s pointless to pick it apart because it’s seamless. The only thing it needs, and it will come with time, is more back end complexity. For right now it’s singing an aria. With time it will add a chorus. So happy to have more of this waiting in the wings for its moment on stage.
