2014 Matthiasson Zinfandel Limerick Lane - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (10/4/2020)
This is an incredibly classy Zinfandel. I am used to Limerick Lane Vineyard wines being rather large scaled, but this wine exudes class. It’s a claret Zin in the best sense. High toned red fruit, a touch if kirsch, and a long finish infused with menthol and pipe tobacco tones makes for a wholly satisfying experience. Just lovely to drink while not caring about anything else.
