WTN: Why Dhondt we...?

by Jenise » Mon Sep 07, 2020 12:03 pm

NV Dhondt-Grellet Champagne Premier Cru Les Terres Fines Blanc de Blancs Chardonnay
Good bottle--none of the onion skin fumes like that which invaded the last bottle of this we opened. 100% Chardonnay Solera which begun in 1986. This is 70% 2015 base , bottled in May 2016 and disgorged October 2018 with 2g/l. Vinified in a mix of stainless steel and barriques. Some malolactic notes put a rounded, California edge on the Extra Brut but all the same it's dry, pleasing.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
