2015 Ultramarine Blanc de Blancs Heintz Vineyard Sonoma Coast - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (9/4/2020)
Blanc de Blancs with lobster is a cherished tradition in our home. The 2015 Ultramarine took its place last night, and cozied right up to the lobster, lemon and butter like it was specifically made for the job. Citrus fruit matchEd the lemon, a brothy mid-palate depth cozied up to the butter, and then a zingy, bright finish cleaned it all up. Over the vintages I have tried (2011-2015) the Blanc de Blancs has been my favorite of the Ultramarine bottlings, and the 2015 is yet another winner.
