WTN: Let's Go Gewurz!

2014 Dirler-Cade Gewurztraminer Kessler - France, Alsace, Alsace Grand Cru (8/23/2020)
Opened for a Gewurztraminer tasting via Zoom, this was first of all an excellent match with our Panang Curry. On its own it also drank quite well, showing lots of ripe pineapple and floral tines, though not as much lychee as I might have expected. Only moderately sweet, it stopped short of notable viscosity, making it an enjoyable wine to sip on its own, never approaching heaviness. Has the balance to go for a while longer, though I don't go for truly old Gewurz - I prize the exuberance of its youthful form.
