Took this to dinner w/ friends last night:
1. Ch.Coutet a Barsac PremierCruClasse AC: Barsac (MeBaC; 11%-14%) 1976: Deep golden/burnished bronze color; fairlt strong peachy/apricotty/botrytis light cedary/pencilly/oak/cigar box rather complex old-Sauternes lovely nose; fairly tart off-dry/some dried out very strong pencilly/cedary/oak some peachy/apricotty/botrytis some bitter/dried-out fairly complex finish; very long/lingering strong cigar box/cedary/pencilly some botrytis/peachy/apricotty finish; a lovely complex old Sauternes but pretty dried out & a bit bitter; not a great example of an old Sauternes.

1. I took this wine to accompany a delicious LemonMousse as the dessert course. It didn't have the sweetness to hold up to the dessert. It is more an apertif wine than a dessert wine.
