________

AlfredGraf Riesling ErdenerTreppchen Spatlese (QmP; A.P.Nr. 2 576 280 0097 18; 7.5%; ScopertaImprts) Weinkellerei Ehemalig Kurfurstliche/Bernkastel-Kues 2016: Med.light yellow color; strong floral/R mango/pineapple light Mosel valve oil/slatey fairly classic Mosel/R attractive nose; fairly sweet (1.5%-2.0% r.s.?) strong floral/R/pineapple/mango slight slatey lightly tart/tangy fairly rich/lush pleasant flavor; very long bit tart/steely/slatey somewhat sweet bit simple finish; a pleasant enough Mosel R but just that; should improve over the next 10 yrs but will probably never be a great Mosel R; reasonably priced at $15.50 (KK)
_______

__________
A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Kokoman got in a bunch of new German Rieslings and these are some I've been tasting thru.
________
2. Dr.Thanisch: I was pretty much blown away by this wine. Shows an unusual degree of Mosel valve oil for a wine this young.
________
3. The Dr.Thanisch and the NikWeis are beautiful examples of Mosel wines at stupid/silly prices. Likewise the Leitz is a great price. The Knebel is probably the best of the foursome but a twice the price, but very fairly priced. Those are the four that I purchased more of.

Surprised you would even bother with the Selbach. That’s their negotiant line, and with one or two rare exceptions (the Selbach Saar Spatlese is a much higher level wine than the rest of the line), not something for the more educated wine enthusiast.
