After trying their Schiava, I decided to try the Teroldego:
1. HeinrichMayr Nusserhof Ty....O VinoRosso (13%; L2014; Teroldego) Bozen/Sudtirol NV (2014): Very dark/near black color; very strong earthy/dusty/loamy/compost pile strong black cherry cola/blackberry/Teroldego some fragrant bit complex nose; fairly tart/tangy strong blackberry/Teroldegoblack cherry cola/licorice/pungent fairly earthy/loamy/compost pile slight graphite/mineral savory bit metallic some complex flavor w/ modest tangy tannins; very long rather earthy/loamy/compost pile some blackberry/black cherry cola/licorice bit complex finish w/ some rough/tangy tannins; much better than the Elda/Schiava but same earthy/loamy character but w/ more interesting fruit; definitely speaks of Teroldego but doesn't hold a candle to a basic Foradori Teroldego or most Trentino Teroldegos; needs some age but will never be a great Teroldego; quite overpriced at $57.00 (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. A week ago, I tried the Nusserhof Elda/Schiava. Interesting, but dominated by an earthy/loamy character w/ little fruit. This Teroldego definitely spoke of Teroldego but still dominated by the earthy/loamy character.
