2008 Barbaresco "Serra", Paitin

Some brick on the rim. Lovely and generous classic aromas of cherries and black fruit, with the textbook nebbiolo hint of violets that so often gets stamped out in the international-style wines. The flavors follow the aroma--classic Piedmontese nebbiolo profile, with some lively acidity and a bit of tannins. This wine is a joy to drink now, but there's no hurry. Double Larry Moe.
