Lockdown Wine #40. Cork broke halfway out and there was a bit of crumbling. Couldn't manage to take the rest out but drilled a hole in the remaining cork so the wine came out clean enough. Fairly dark for its age. Woody, spicy notes on the nose and palate. Black fruit. Still a bit of tannin despite a lot of sediment. This could go for a couple of more years. Sturdy enough to take on a spicy chimichurri. Decent length. Rather international in style. I could be wrong, but I seem to recall that this takes on 100% new oak for an extended period. Good thing the wine has completely absorbed the oak.

I actually have one but didn't think I would need it for this. Cork looked fine after I removed the capsule and the grip felt good when I screwed it in.
